Statement on the Death of Phyllis Williams

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Phyllis Williams. Phyllis served on the Donelson Hermitage Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in several different capacities and was a recipient of the Rachel Award “Master Gardner” in 2018. She was also named the DH Chamber Woman of the Year in 2003, among other awards. She was also passionate about women’s rights and stood firm in both national and local politics. Phyllis was a great friend to many in the Donelson-Hermitage community. She will be deeply missed for her friendship and volunteer spirit. We extend our sincere condolences to her family.

For public health concerns, a private service will be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens for immediate family and pallbearers. A virtual viewing will be live streamed via Facebook on the Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens Facebook page at 2:00pm today, 12/22/2020. The family has stated that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the information provided below for the Last Minute Toy Store and the DuPont High School Alumni Association.
